Co-Creation is all about including the customer in the creation process. That can be by having the customer vote on something you created (see this Victoria’s Secret example) or by having the customer create the whole thing (e.g. like a chocri chocolate bar).
I’m very excited to see Victoria’s Secret tip their toes into co-creation on their Facebook Fan Page. They asked their Fans to vote on a panty design to celebrate their 3 Million Fans - and look how many participated! To throw another buzzword in - we call this crowdsourcing, or open innovation.
The 7762 likes in the picture above for the idea of having fans vote for the best panty are about twice as many than for regular posts - including deals of $10 off an more. That tells you something about the value of including your customers in your decision making process.
